The local area for hanging out near the Seine River. We listened to music, people watched, and had some drinks.

Conciergerie Prison and Palace

A Merovingian Palace built in the 10th Century, but turned into a prison in 1391 after King Charles V abandoned it in 1358. Both Queen Marie Antoinette and the leader of the French Revolution Robespierre were housed here prior to being beheaded.

Hotel d'Invalides & Napoleon

Started by Louis XIV, the Hotel de Invalides originally was created to aide recovering war veterans, but later became the resting place for the the tomb of Napolean Bonaparte and a military museum.

Crepes and cathedrals

We ate crepes avec chocolat et banan last night with some students, visited Notre Dame cathedral, and ended the night with some live Rock and Roll at Guinness Irish Pub.

Chunnel Train to Paris

After an early morning wake up call, we took the Chunnel train to Paris. Upon arrival, we hopped on a bus to the Louvre, and Vic and I decided to visit Napoleon III's apartments while visiting the museum.
