Space Shuttle Endeavor - Science Center

We rode the Red Line Metro line from North Hollywood to the light blue Exposition Park Metro and got off at USC/Expo stop to see the IMAX film on the Hubble telescope and to view the Endeavor Space Shuttle. The shuttle flew 25 missions and spent 296 days in space. The IMAX film will leave you feeling awed and inspired to help human beings. The Endeavor is well maintained and surrounded by multiple other exhibits that are wonderfully entertaining for school aged children. Well worth the visit.

Corriganville

In 1937, Ray "Crash" Corrigan bought this 2,000 acres ranch and over time, it became known as Corriganville Movie Ranch. Thousands of western movies and television shows were filmed here, including Tarzan, the African Queen, and The Creature from the Black Lagoon. Vic is standing above what served as a lake for many of these movies. The squares below him were underwater windows where cinematographers could film underwater scenes. As we enteredbthe park, we could see dozens of movie sets behind fenced gates.

The library is filled with interesting historical memorabilia, including Nixon's original birthplace home in Yorba Linda.
